I did the one-week camp with Core Camps, and I couldn’t be happier or more satisfied! The atmosphere in the house was incredibly warm and fun. As a skier, we had our lessons, and those were the most intense skiing days I’ve ever had—both challenging and rewarding. Turner was always attentive and accommodating to last-minute changes, which I really appreciated. I highly recommend this experience to anyone looking to push their limits on the snow!
A home away from home! What Turner is doing at Core Camps is perfect for individuals or small groups to get the most out of ski/snowboard improvement whilst meeting new people and enjoying a fantastic week in Whistler! Travelling on my own in Whistler, the house was a great vibe, full of like minded people, all there for the love of the sport. I spent 2 weeks at the Core Camps snowboarding camp during March of 2025, and had a truly wonderful time - if you're on the fence or even considering going, this is your sign to sign up and go! I joined as a somewhat experienced snowboarder (50+ days over a few years), and still Core Camps and their incredible environment and coaching pushed me beyond what I thought was possible. I had an amazing experience with Core Camps - I can't recommend it enough! Over the course of 3 weeks, I saw huge improvements in my riding, made a ton of amazing friends, and got to experience all of the fun things Whistler has to offer off the mountain. Turner goes above and beyond to make the experience great and I really loved all of the group dinners/activities he coordinated. Core Camps was an unforgettable experience! Even though I was away for Christmas, everyone felt like family, creating such a warm and fun atmosphere. The stunning surroundings at Whistler and consistent pow days made it feel like I was living in a dream. Turner ensured everything ran smoothly, and Jordan was an incredible coach who pushed me to try new things, like jumping and tackling steep terrain for the first time. The group was full of friendly, like-minded people, making the experience even more special. Already looking forward to the next camp!
Touted as the best winter of my life, and indeed, REALIZED as the best winter I've ever had! If you're thinking about Core Camp, stop thinking and just do it, I promise you won't regret it. Turner has created such a wholesome experience with Core Camps and I couldn’t have asked for more from my first snowboarding and solo trip! Everything was meticulously planned out and ran so smoothly, from arriving at the airport, picking up rental gear, checking into lessons and just generally feeling relaxed and comfortable during downtime. Turner was on hand to help at all times and the perfect host! My snowboarding progression over the week was immense and I really hope to return next year! Thank you Turner and Core Camps!!
My son was able to attend the camp for the first time this year and went solo. Preparing him was easy as Core Camp communicated everything up front. Turner took time to talk with me to clarify the process as my son had not traveled abroad solo before. Once there my son had a great time! He set goals and reached his biggest goal of a 360 off a jump.
This is an amazing camp! Place is awesome in a great location and everything is so well organized and run so perfectly! Like a Swiss watch! Turner is awesome, very supportive, very communicative and prompt answering immediately to any question/email! It is a great opportunity and I am thankful I had the opportunity to participate and learning so much! Definitely I am going back next year and I absolutely recommend the camp to anyone who would like to improve ones skills into a fantastic environment with amazing and supportive instructors!
Embarking on my skiing journey at Core Camps in Whistler was a fun experience with excitement, learning, and unforgettable memories. Turner truly delivered on his promise; I went from an absolute beginner to confidently navigating the slopes in just one week. Wow! What an amazing experience I had with Core Camps! Turner was extremely helpful, accommodating and always available if I needed anything. This camp is so wonderful and a great way to work on your skills as a snowboarder/skier, especially when in a new country. Not only did I improve my snowboarding, I also met some of the most wonderful people. I was having a difficult time finding an instructor for my level and was placed in groups that were either too advanced or too easy and didn’t know what to do. I had a wonderful, spectacular and memorable week at Core Camps! Jordan was a great instructor who pushed me out of my comfort zone, showed us some great spots and overall is a fun person to be around. I learned so much and cannot wait to be back next year! It was amazing waking up and going snowboarding for a whole week. Also big thanks to Turner who had a great itinerary for the week, was so helpful, and made sure everything was running smoothly. Had two fantastic weeks with Core Camps! Turner is such a kind camp owner who would go the extra mile to make sure all campers are well taken care of. Jordan the coach is a stylish rider who pushes us to challenge our limits, while always being positive and encouraging. The gang in the house was an awesome bunch who share the same passion towards snowboarding/skiing. Honestly can’t wait to be back!
My time at Core Camps in Whistler was a total blast! The instruction was awesome, the mountain is incredible, and I seriously leveled up my skiing skills. It was the perfect mix of learning and fun, and I made some great friends from the house. Big shoutout to Turner – who was super helpful and incredibly organized. He made sure everything ran smoothly and even helped coordinate transport when I extended my stay in Whistler. Overall cannot recommend Core Camps enough.
My husband and I stayed at Core Camps for two weeks of skiing and had a fantastic experience. Our skiing lessons were excellent and we made significant improvements over the two weeks. The house was great, with easy and quick access to Whistler village, and we loved meeting and hanging out with the other attendees. My 15 year old son attended a Core Camps session during Spring Break 2023 and loved it! His snowboarding skills/technique improved significantly and he was very excited about the new tricks he learned. He loved the independence of staying in the Core Camps house with other teens. The house is very clean and safe and there are adults there too. Everyone was friendly and responsible. The camp is extremely well-organized. Turner, the camp owner, has thought through every detail. He provided excellent communication on logistics and he responded quickly to my questions. I highly recommend Core Camps!
If you have ever for a moment considered getting some lessons to improve your riding or wanted to meet some other people just as in to snowboarding as you, I’d highly recommend signing up to core camps. My friend and I booked pretty late so we weren’t able to go for the premium option, however, that didn’t mean we didn’t still have the best time ever. Turner and the team at Core Camps were simply amazing. Everything from initial inquiry, to booking, to pre trip preparation, to the trip itself, was extremely well organized. Turner was very communicative and helpful in getting me ready for camp. During my stay, he was very involved in the day to day activities and was super fun to hang out with. Step out of your comfort zone and sign up for a week or two or three! Then look forward to coming back as soon as possible. It takes a lot to say hey, I am heading to Whistler by myself, to take snowboarding (or skiing) lessons, live with a group of people I do not know, have a roommate or two! Just do it! 10/10 two weeks at Core Camps! My skiing drastically improve in two weeks and the accommodation was beautiful, clean and perfectly located. It was so fun to be around like minded people who enjoyed the skiing/snowboarding lifestyle and brought a fun and social vibe to the experience. Turner was attentive, quick to respond to any questions or concerns, and genuinely cared about everyone having a positive experience. Highly recommend!!🤘⛷️🏂
